This poem has more relevance within the story it's in, but I'm NOT POSTING the story! So there!  It's one of the type I hope to actually get published in some sort of ... you know ... publication thing.

Anyway, this is spoken by Shalog, who is a Lord, quoting a prophecy given by Shi Eroh, who is also a Lord, though he's a well known liar and rather insane.  Shalog is talking to Sekost, who is ALSO a Lord.  Big things have gotta be happening when three Lords are involved with prophecy, right?

Still, it's a poem I like.  So there.

“The will two night lights of like mind

Bring stillness to thy quick demand

The will to keep a traitor’s oath

The will to raise the palms of both

And clasp hate’s shield hand in hand

The will of youthful heart to bind

Now beg for strength come from the small

Now rest and hope and peace restart

Now make the promise true and right

Now flee the safety in the Night

Now mind excite while deep in dark

Now bring to bear and make quick call

False will thou speak these twice false lies

To undo false of what thou seek

Whose ancient nature understand

Seek out the giant in the sand

While you can find the days that leak

From home of Shi Eroh now fly”
