Hello! My name is Ryan McClanahan.  I live in Minnesota, in the United States.  I own and run this website mostly for my own amusement.

I've been writing for as long as I can remember.  The first thing I ever remember writing was a weird scene where I (or someone, maybe a character) was running through the woods from some mysterious pursuers. I was trying to get to a lake where I had left a boat.  I wrote it for an assignment when I was 7 and plan to use it.

I've loved words since in third grade my teacher instituted a program where we got points for reading books and could use the points to win little toys.  The toys were meaningless to me, I just wanted to have the most points.

I didn't plan to DO anything with writing until I was 17 and a senior in high school.  Though now, 8 years later and looking back, it was a pretty obvious choice.

So here's my writings, you may read them, but may not copy or use them in any way for any reason at any time.  Please don't steal my writings, I really do plan to make a career of this.  That being said, I have thousands of pages of material and it would be quite evident that I am the originator of it all should anything ever end up in court.
